King-Sized Ash Bed Frame with Brass Legs

Solid ash construction with a framed upholstery headboard and brass hairpin style legs. Grey stain and oil finish.

Custom black walnut coffee table and side tables.  The table tops were made from a black walnut veneer dining table top that was rescued from a sidewalk trash pile, and the bases were made from solid black walnut.  Designed to fit in with the client's mid-century modern furniture and artwork.

Built with quartersawn white oak and finished with clear coat of oil and polyurethane.

This home bar was made primarily from a pair of mid-century white oak doors salvaged from a church in Belmont, Mass.   Combined with new white oak cabinetry, the salvaged doors were transformed into a spacious home bar.  Behind the bar new cabinetry was built to house a sink, fridge, and ice maker.

Coatrack: Antique Dougals Fir, Maple, Antique Bronze & Brass Hooks

Wood origin: 

The Douglas Fir was reclaimed from an old beam removed during the renovation of a Fort Point warehouse.  The White Pine was reclaimed from old rafters removed during the renovation of a Jamaica Plain Victorian mansion.  The vintage hooks were antique store finds. 

Misc:

The Rocksberry Bench is an improved-upon version of my original Platform Bench, with improved mortice & tenon joinery.

Tracksmith is a premium performance running brand and online retailer.  For the 2016 Boston Marathon, Tracksmith put together the Runner's Lounge and Showroom,  located in Back Bay just a few blocks from the marathon finish line.

Collaborating with the Tracksmith team, we designed and built out the space, including custom displays, fixtures, and custom fitting rooms.  Everything in the space was designed to be easily removed and flat pack for storage and use in future events and pop-up locations.

The Fenway Cart is a mobile pop-up bicycle trailer built to be a neighborhood ambassador for the Fenway neighborhood.  The cart was built for TheFenway.com and designed in collaboration with Isenberg Projects and Travis Anderson.  Starting with the platform of a Surly trailer, we built the cart using marine-grade plywood and lightweight hardware.  The cart folds up for transport, and folds out to create a large countertop for serving up food and drinks or handing out free gear.  All photos courtesy of TheFenway.com

Custom lobby kiosk for King’s Row Coffee at the Landmark Center.

Fast-tracked project to build a temporary coffee kiosk in the lobby of the Landmark Center in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston. Custom cabinetry with a solid white oak service bar and a laminate countertop. Cabinetry built with clear-coated maple plywood and black painted face frames and doors. Exterior clad in quartersawn white oak paneling with a brown oil stain.
